What is Tajer Abu Dhabi and the Services You Can License in UAE?

Tajer Abu Dhabi has been in newspapers, radio channels, magazines and blogs after it was launched in public and announced the mobile car license for 16 trade activities in Abu Dhabi in its first and second stage last August 23, 2017.
The first 16 services UAE citizens can license under Tajer are as follows
- Repairing and replacing car tyres
- Cleaning and polishing cars
- Retail sale of dry batteries
- Building facility services (maintenance of sanitation installations, A/C, electric and plumbing services etc.)
- Repairing electronic home appliances
- Men’s hairdressing
- Women’s hairdressing
- Children’s hairdressing
- Sewing Arab men’s clothes
- Sewing Arab women’s clothes
- Sale of readymade dresses for children
- Gift wrapping
- Delivering/ decorating flowers
- Photography services
- Pets salon
- Retail sale of fodder
In September 13, 2017 – the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi has organized a platform for it at Al Ain Mall as part of its awareness campaign launched at a number of malls in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
It has launched its third package in November 14 2017, with 30 activities to provide Saudi nationals with several options to obtain Tajer Abu Dhabi License as per the activities assigned to it Emirate-wide.
Munif Al Mansouri stated that the new activities that were added to “Tajer Abu Dhabi” License include 7 activities to practice commercial activities related to food which are licensed by Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority which in turn is electronically linked to the DED’s economic licenses system.
Furthermore, he pointed out that the new package for Tajer Abu Dhabi License that was launched through the economic licenses system of Abu Dhabi Business Center featured the registration of 17 licenses that were registered quickly. This indicates the great interest among the locals, especially the productive families, to have their commercial activities licensed.
